Restoring an old window can prove to be an adventurous journey. Often though, it is very well worth doing and it will add that extra touch of quality to the unique beauty of your home.
When you contact me about a restoration or repair, I will visit you to see the window in situ and give you an impression of the work involved and the approximate cost. The window will need to be taken out of its structure. Once the window is on my studio table I will investigate the glass and check the structure of the window and the condition of the lead came after many years of exposure to weather conditions or home life. I will then contact you with my suggestions, costs and a time-scale.
Throughout the process you can come to the studio to see the progress of your window. I will keep in touch, and notify you should an unexpected issue arise. I can give you help and advise about both removing and reinstalling the window into its designated place.
