From my expansive experience as a qualified teacher and group facilitator, I have developed the following grading system for Stained Glass Education:
After completing a piece of stained glass, the student will receive a certificate describing the skills that have been acquired and the level of skill, creativity and personal development that has taken place in relation to working with the stained glass techniques associated with Tiffany and Lead-Came.
Each student begins as an Apprentice progressing through three grades until they have reached the level of Advanced student. Once they have risen through the three stages of this level they make a final piece and with it can achieve the level of Excellence. To achieve this, students will need to demonstrate excellence in design, practical skill, choice of glass, colour, reinforcement, artistic development and finish/neatness.
